The daily hire rate depends on the size and type of excavator. Our rates are as follows:

• 1.7T Mini Excavator – $180 per day (dry hire)
• 3.5T Mini Excavator with Quick Hitch – $330 per day (dry hire)

Additional costs may apply, including:

• Freight/Delivery – Starts from $50 each way for a 1.7T mini excavator and $110 each way for a 3.5T excavator.
• Security Bond – A $200 fully refundable bond is required for the 1.7T mini excavator.
• Cleaning & Refuelling – If the machine is not returned clean and refuelled, additional charges will apply.

Hire rates are based on dry hire, meaning the excavator is supplied without an operator. Customers must have the appropriate skills or licences to operate the machinery.

We do not offer hourly hire, as all our mini excavators are available on a daily hire basis. This allows customers the flexibility to complete their projects without time constraints.

However, if you only need the machine for a short period, a one-day hire is the most cost-effective option. For extended hire durations (such as weekly or monthly), feel free to contact us to discuss availability and hire terms.

No, we only offer dry hire, meaning the excavator is supplied without an operator. The hirer must either have the required experience or hire a qualified operator separately.

For most typical excavation jobs, a specific licence is not required. However, you must be able to prove competency in operating a mini excavator.

Yes, we offer delivery and pickup services at an additional cost:

• 1.7T Excavator – Freight from $50 each way
• 3.5T Excavator – Delivery from $110 each way

Alternatively, you can arrange self-pickup, but ensure your vehicle meets the required payload capacity (4.5T+ for the 3.5T excavator).

If the excavator is returned late, additional hire charges will apply.

If the machine is damaged, costs for repairs will be deducted from your security bond. If repairs exceed the bond amount, you will be responsible for covering the additional costs. To avoid charges:

• Return the machine on time
• Ensure it is clean and refuelled
• Operate it safely to prevent damage

Our mini excavators have different maximum digging depths:

• 1.7T Mini Excavator – 2.2 metres
• 3.5T Mini Excavator – 3.05 metres

These machines are suitable for trenching, digging foundations, house excavations, site cuts, landscaping, and site preparation.

Both the 1.7T and 3.5T mini excavators run on diesel fuel.

We require all hired machines to be returned refuelled. If not, refuelling charges will apply. The fuel tank capacities are:

• 3.5T Excavator – 42L capacity, supporting extended operation times
